Role Purpose

Operating across 13 brands located across the UK, from Scotland to the South Coast, this role plays a critical leadership position within the People function.
Reporting into the Group People Director, the Group Head of People Operations is responsible for building, leading and continuously improving Lomond’s People Operations function, ensuring the delivery of scalable, efficient and high-quality HR operational services across the Group.
Key Responsibilities:
People Operations Leadership
* Lead and develop Lomond’s People Operations function.
* Manage the operational HR team and support the development of high-performing HR operations professionals.
* Establish a high-performance culture across the People Operations team built on accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
* Create a culture where feedback is openly shared and received in the moment to support team development.
HR Operational Strategy & Infrastructure
* Design and implement the operational framework that supports the People function.
* Develop scalable HR processes that support a multi-brand organisation operating across multiple locations.
* Standardise HR operational practices across Lomond’s brands.
* Ensure HR processes are efficient, compliant and aligned with business growth plans.
HR Systems & Data Governance
* Act as the senior owner of people data within Zellis ResourceLink.
* Ensure robust governance and integrity of employee data.
* Implement strong data auditing processes to ensure accuracy and compliance.
* Develop people data reporting capabilities that support decision making across the business.
* Partner with Finance and Payroll to ensure seamless data alignment across systems.
HR Service Delivery
* Lead the design and implementation of a People Operations case management and ticketing system.
* Develop service level agreements for HR support across the organisation.
* Monitor HR service performance and identify opportunities to improve the employee experience.
* Ensure employees across all brands receive consistent HR support.
Mergers, Acquisitions & Integration
* Support the integration of newly acquired businesses into Lomond’s People infrastructure.
* Ensure operational readiness for employee transfers under TUPE (Transfer of Undertakings Protection of Employment).
* Build repeatable acquisition integration playbooks for HR operations.
* Partner with the acquisitions team to support the successful transition of employees into the Lomond structure.
HR Technology & AI
* Identify opportunities to leverage automation and AI within HR operations.
* Implement digital tools that improve efficiency and enhance employee self-service.
* Ensure HR technology supports operational scalability as the business continues to grow.
Stakeholder Partnership
* Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders on HR operational infrastructure.
* Partner closely with HR Business Partners to ensure operational processes support strategic HR initiatives.
* Collaborate with Finance, Payroll and IT to ensure operational alignment across systems.
Experience & Skills:
Essential
* 4-7 years leading HR Operations or People Operations functions
* Experience operating in a private equity backed organisation
* Experience supporting mergers and acquisitions
* Strong HR systems experience including Zellis ResourceLink
* Experience building HR operational infrastructure
* Strong data governance and reporting experience
* Experience managing HR operational teams
* Strong stakeholder management capability
Desirable
* Experience working in a multi-brand or multi-entity organisation
* Experience implementing HR ticketing or service management systems
* Experience using AI or automation to improve HR processes
