Overview
We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee the construction of an extension to a large, operational school. The successful candidate will take full responsibility for managing day-to-day site activities, coordinating trades, and ensuring that all works are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
This is a hands-on role suited to a proactive and driven manager who enjoys being on site, motivating teams, and ensuring smooth project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage daily site operations and coordinate all trades on the school extension project.
* Drive progress and ensure work is delivered on time and to specification.
* Maintain high standards of health and safety, quality, and site presentation.
* Manage logistics, deliveries, and site organisation.
* Liaise effectively with the client, project manager, and school representatives.
* Regularly walk the site to monitor performance and ensure productivity.
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Site Manager on education or public sector projects.
* Strong leadership and communication skills.
* Excellent knowledge of construction sequencing and trade coordination.
* SMSTS, CSCS (Black/Gold), and First Aid qualifications are essential.
* Confident working independently and maintaining high site standards.
* Must be comfortable walking site and taking a hands-on approach.
