New Business Developer
Salary up to 45k (DOE) + bonus
Orpington (hybrid)
(some international travel)
We have an exciting opportunity for a New Business Developer to join our International Food Group Commercial Sales Team. Your main focus will be looking after the Middle East & some countries within Europe to identify and support new business opportunities and execute market research, identifying high potential prospects as well as focussing on recovering lost business opportunities.
What you’ll be doing:
1. Conduct market research to identify potential new customers and market segments.
2. Prospect, pitch, and negotiating with new clients to secure business partnerships.
3. Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of potential clients
4. Build strong, long-lasting relationships with existing customers
5. Continuously monitor account performance and identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling
6. Develop account-specific sales plans and execute strategies to maximize revenue
7. Analyse and identify reasons for lost business with existing customers.
8. Develop and implement strategies to regain lost accounts
9. Collaborate with the Sales team to create customized solutions that address customer needs and concerns.
10. Cultivate and nurture relationships with key customers and decision-makers.
11. Understand customer needs and preferences to provide tailored solutions.
12. Act as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact for key accounts.
13. Develop and deliver training programs for customers' sales forces on how to sell and promote Sysco Branded products effectively.
14. Collaborate with marketing and product teams to create training materials and resources.
What we are looking for:
15. Proven experience in a similar position
16. Proficiency with computer and Microsoft Office
17. Willing to travel internationally
18. Solid analytical problem-solving skills, including familiarity with analysing reports and deriving insights from data
19. Ability to express information in terms of profit and loss, food cost, and expense ratio
20. Strong financial acumen and ability to properly plan and execute business plans
21. Strong communication skills; ability to effectively communicate with internal and external teams
