About the Role
As Site Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the management, safety, and maintenance of the school buildings and grounds. You will oversee day-to-day site operations and ensure the premises remain safe, functional, and welcoming.
Key responsibilities include:
* Managing the daily operation and maintenance of the school site and facilities
* Carrying out routine inspections and preventative maintenance tasks
* Overseeing site security, including opening and closing the school
* Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and risk assessments
* Managing contractors and coordinating maintenance work when required
* Monitoring heating, lighting, alarms, and security systems
* Supporting the preparation of spaces for school events and activities
* Maintaining outdoor areas including playgrounds and access routes
* Keeping accurate records of maintenance work and site inspections
Experience and Skills
The successful candidate will:
* Have experience in site management, premises management, or facilities maintenance
* Demonstrate a strong understanding of health and safety procedures and compliance
* Be practical, organised, and capable of managing a range of maintenance tasks
* Have strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
* Communicate effectively with staff, contractors, and external services

Previous experience working within a school environment would be advantageous but is not essential.
