The Role
Reporting to the Packaging Manager, you will be key in developing new and modifying existing packaging concepts, reviewing structure and design, in line with written briefs to meet customer needs. You will work on NPD packaging projects to translate visions and concepts into robust, tangible commercial solutions that customers will love.
Liaising with suppliers you will revel in identifying new materials and designs, discovering novel solutions and new to market initiatives to maximise competitor advantage. A natural creative, your graphical mock-ups will be designed to enhance and clearly communicate your concepts, ensuring they are flawless from every aspect.
Working cross functionally with internal teams you will incorporate efficiency savings in line with specification criteria, keeping to budgets whilst ensuring the highest standards are met.You will also support factory trials to review, refine or modify design specs to ensure final packaging is fit for purpose and completed to the highest quality.
Suit a technically savvy, creative and commercially astute Packaging professional. You will have a degree in a related field plus a couple of years’ experience working in packaging within the Food or FMCG industry. You'll have experience creating presentations with graphical mock ups to support your ideas, confidently presenting this to others whilst introducing and validating new packaging products.
As well as good project management skills you need to love solving problems, have a meticulous eye for detail, and enjoy the challenge of a fast-paced environment. You enjoy the design aspect of the role and are confident in adobe packages such as Adobe Suite and Illustrator.
