We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our culinary team as a cook. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen, contributing to the preparation and serving of high-quality meals. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in food preparation and cooking, with a commitment to food safety and excellence in service.
Responsibilities
* Prepare ingredients and assist in meal preparation according to established recipes and standards.
* Cook and present dishes with attention to detail, ensuring consistency and quality.
* Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment, adhering to food safety regulations.
* Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods.
* Assist in inventory management, including stock rotation and ordering supplies as needed.
* Support the team in various kitchen tasks, including cleaning, plating, and serving when required.
Skills
* Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen environment.
* Strong culinary skills with an understanding of various cooking techniques.
* Familiarity with food safety standards and best practices in meal preparation.
* Previous restaurant experience is advantageous, demonstrating an ability to work effectively under pressure.
* Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate clearly within a busy kitchen setting.

* 10.00am - 4.00pm Monday to Fridays hours negotiable, weekend work will be required Saturdays 10.00am - 4.00pm or Sundays 10.00am - 3.00pm. These hours change when BST ends.
Job Types: Part-time, Zero hours contract
Pay: £12.21-£13.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
