Salary/Rate: £270 - 300 per shift
About the Role
We are seeking an Experienced Site Manager to oversee a specialist project involving roof replacement and asbestos removal. This is a crucial position requiring a proactive leader with a strong understanding of construction safety, coordination of subcontractors, and the ability to maintain strict compliance with health and safety regulations.
You will be responsible for managing day-to-day site operations, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on time, and to the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage all on-site activities for the roof replacement and asbestos removal works
* Coordinate subcontractors and ensure smooth workflow
* Ensure full compliance with H&S regulations and company procedures
* Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks, and site audits
* Maintain accurate site records, reports, and progress updates
* Liaise with clients, consultants, and project teams
* Oversee site logistics, quality control, and programme management
Requirements
To be considered for this position, you must hold the following certifications:
* SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme)
* First Aid at Work
* Asbestos Awareness Certificate
* PASMA Ticket
Experience required
* Proven experience managing roof replacement projects
* Prior involvement in asbestos-related works
* Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
* Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and maintain site discipline
* Solid understanding of CDM regulations and safety-critical environments
