Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Product Quality Manager to lead our quality assurance efforts across the product lifecycle within Roke. This role is responsible for developing and implementing quality standards, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product performance, reliability, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement quality assurance policies, procedures, and standards for products.
* Lead cross-functional quality initiatives from design through production and post-launch.
* Manage incoming and outgoing inspection processes to ensure product conformity and reduce defects.
* Oversee supplier quality management, including qualification, audits, performance monitoring, and corrective actions.
* Review and approve Certificates of Conformance (CoC) and other quality documentation to ensure compliance with specifications and regulatory standards.
* Monitor product performance and customer feedback to identify areas for improvement.
* Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
* Collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to ensure quality is built into every stage of the product lifecycle.
* Manage internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISO, FDA, CE).
* Establish and track key quality metrics (KPIs) and report on quality performance to leadership.
* Train and mentor quality team members and promote a culture of quality across the organization.
Qualifications:
* Degree in engineering, Quality Management, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
* 5+ years of experience in product quality management, preferably in [industry, e.g., medical devices, consumer electronics, automotive].
* Strong knowledge of quality systems, tools, and methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean, FMEA, SPC).
* Experience with regulatory compliance and standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 13485, FDA QSR).
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
* Proven leadership and project management abilities.
Preferred Certifications:
* Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)
* Six Sigma Green/Black Belt
* ISO Lead Auditor Certification
Where you will work
Alongside hybrid and flexible working options, you will find our Romsey site located within beautiful Hampshire countryside, close to the picturesque New Forest District and not far from a superb stretch of the south coast. Due to the nature of this role, we require you to be eligible to achieve SC clearance. As a result, you should be a British Citizen and have resided in the U.K. for the last 5 years for SC.
