Highland Health and Social Care Services help people from all walks of life, as well as their families or carers. Health and Social Care in Highland provides help and assistance in many situations arising due to illness, disability, old age or poverty. This is an exciting opportunity to join a team of dedicated kitchen staff and be involved in preparation, cooking and serving of nutritious meals and snacks to the residents as required following a six-week menu plan. To produce food using standard recipes in line with policies and procedures ensuring standards are met. To maintain a clean environment and comply with infection control standards.
The shifts follow a three-week rota working hours 08.15-16.45 or 09.00-16.45 with occasional early finishes at 3pm. There is weekend working for which successful applicants are paid 44% enhancement for Saturday working and 88% enhancement for Sunday working. Public holidays are paid at double time.
Responsibilities
* Involve in preparation, cooking and serving of nutritious meals and snacks to residents following a six-week menu plan.
* Produce food using standard recipes in line with policies and procedures ensuring standards are met.
* Maintain a clean environment and comply with infection control standards.
* Adhere to shift patterns as per three-week rota; understand weekend enhancements and holiday pay provisions.
Qualifications
* Applicants should have experience in working with people in a care setting.
* Ability to undertake any relevant training.
