Salary: £24,796 - £25,583 + pro rata for part time
Location: Frome Hall School, Bristol area (Frome Hall is a state-of-the-art school serving children with a wide range of needs). This role is due to commence February 2026.
Role overview
Being a cook in our school means being part of something big. You’ll be working at the heart of the school, preparing and serving tasty, nutritious food to our young people, staff and visitors. You’ll supervise a skilled team and plan nutritious menus while ensuring the school meets food hygiene regulations and nutritional standards. You’ll build strong relationships with staff and young people by doing what you do best.
Responsibilities
* Supervise a skilled kitchen team and plan nutritious menus for pupils and staff.
* Ensure the school meets food hygiene regulations and nutritional standards.
* Manage day-to-day kitchen operations with attention to quality and efficiency.
Qualifications
* Level 3 qualification in Food Safety in Catering (or equivalent).
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan menus.
* Experience budgeting for meals and ordering in bulk.
