We’re working with a well-regarded secondary school in Shrewsbury seeking a Learning Mentor to join their dedicated pastoral team. This is a key role designed to support students who may be struggling with confidence, behaviour, or personal challenges.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide one-to-one and small group support for students who need additional guidance
2. Help build routines and restore a sense of belonging for disengaged learners
3. Collaborate with teaching staff to ensure consistent, joined-up support
4. Support behaviour management strategies with a proactive and patient approach
5. Track student progress and celebrate individual development
What We’re Looking For:
6. Experience working with young people in a school, youth work, or similar setting
7. A calm, resilient, and empathetic approach
8. Ability to build rapport and support students in re-engaging with education
9. Strong communication and organisational skills
Desirable (but not essential):
10. TA Level 2 or 3 qualification
11. Background in mental health, counselling, or pastoral support
12. Thrive training (if not yet trained, we offer this free of charge through our CPD Academy)
