Salary: £50,100 - £75,100 + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

The role
As a Data Architect working for the Group Data & Analytics Architect you will be leading the development of modern cloud based data solutions in both Azure & AWS that will enable SSE's Corporate functions and business units to get better value from their data and support their own business driven analytics use cases.
You will
- Be responsible for creating High level data architecture design and Data models.
- Develop Data solution design patterns/blueprints to guide solution decisions aligned to business requirements.
- Be the data design authority to ensure adherence to the data architecture and that design standards are followed.
- Support the development and management of data governance best practices for Corporate data.
- Provide architectural support and guidance to business units and corporate teams using group analytics data services and corporate data.
You have
- Proven experience in senior data architecture roles.
- Excellent understanding of the various data modelling approaches.
- Value driven approach for data model implementation that focuses on meeting business needs & providing value, whilst delivering a sustainable solution.
- Strong ability to work with business and technology stakeholders and translate business problems into data designs that can meet business requirements and organisational objectives.
- Good understanding of cloud-based data solution design ideally based around Databricks.
