Hunter Selection is working with a leading manufacturer based in Caerphilly, on the outskirts of Cardiff. This is a great opportunity to join an expanding business following recent growth and new product launches. They are looking to recruit a Quality Manager to strengthen their quality department. This role is ideal for an experienced quality engineer familiar with product changes and continuous improvement initiatives. It offers excellent benefits and job security, making it a valuable career move.
Role and Responsibilities Manage customer satisfaction by addressing internal and external concerns through site visits and customer liaison. Approve or contest claims and raise supporting documentation. Understand customer products.
Handle customer complaints in line with 8D requirements.
Apply structured problem-solving techniques such as A3, 5 Whys, and Ishikawa diagrams. Implement new process adherence and surveillance measures through quality engineering practices.
Identify and support continuous improvement actions. Report on extrusion business system updates monthly and quarterly.
Lead ISO 9001 internal and external audits.
Maintain the Business Management System (BMS) at the required level and ensure compliance.
Identify training needs, update training matrices, and carry out annual appraisals.
Report monthly and quarterly quality metrics, with actions to address issues. Update claims database.
Support Sales and Engineering NPI with technical support on products and specifications.
Ensure departmental procedures are followed and safety is prioritized for all personnel.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Proven experience as a Quality Manager in manufacturing.
Strong record of implementing solutions to achieve continuous quality improvements.
Experience with ISO 9001 standards is preferred.
Experience handling customer complaints.
