HR & Recruitment Manager
Oxfordshire | Full-Time | Permanent | Competitive Salary
Ready to build something rather than simply maintain it?
Enjoy blending strategic HR leadership with hands-on recruitment?
Looking for a role where you can genuinely shape the future of a growing technology business?
If that sounds like you, this opportunity could be the perfect next step.
Our client, a growing and innovative technology organisation based in Oxfordshire, is entering an exciting phase of development. As the business continues to scale, they are seeking an experienced HR & Recruitment Manager to take ownership of the people function and lead its evolution.
This is an opportunity to step into a pivotal role where your impact will be visible across the entire organisation.
The Opportunity
Operating within a complex, project-driven technical environment, our client values both commercial performance and the wellbeing of its people. Historically, elements of HR have been managed across the leadership team. Now, the business is ready for a dedicated expert to centralise, strengthen and modernise its HR strategy.
You will work closely with senior leaders and department managers, balancing day-to-day operational HR with longer-term strategic planning.
This is a role for someone who sees the bigger picture but is equally comfortable being hands-on.
Why This Role is Great
Instead of a traditional responsibilities list, here is what you will have the opportunity to shape, lead and master:
Own and develop the HR function and build scalable systems that support continued growth.
Design and refine HR policies by reviewing existing processes and implementing structured, forward-thinking frameworks aligned to best practice.
Lead end-to-end recruitment across technical and commercial roles, including international hiring where required.
Create a high-impact onboarding experience that sets new hires up for long-term success.
Strengthen learning and development by collaborating with department leaders to implement a cohesive training framework.
Oversee performance and development systems, enhancing review processes and competency planning.
Champion compliance and best practice by ensuring adherence to UK employment legislation and data protection requirements.
Support and coach managers, providing practical HR guidance that builds leadership capability.
Nurture a positive culture within an engaging, balanced and commercially focused environment.
You will have autonomy, influence and the opportunity to leave a lasting mark.
About You
You might currently be an HR Manager, People Manager, HR Business Partner, or Talent and HR Lead looking for broader ownership and strategic impact.
You will likely bring:

Confidence advising managers on employee relations matters.
Experience developing HR processes, policies and performance frameworks.
A solid understanding of UK employment law and compliance.
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
Confidence using Microsoft Office and modern recruitment platforms.
Strong communication skills and the ability to build trusted relationships.
A professional, discreet and solutions-focused approach.
If you have transferable experience and are excited by the scope of this opportunity, our client encourages you to apply even if you do not meet every single criterion.
