* Maintain excellent working relationships with the construction management team, subcontractors and supply chain.
* Resource and schedule work in line with the project construction program.
* Work closely with the project QS advising on any upcoming issues.
The Candidate
* Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role (Main Contractor experience required).
* Proven track record in delivering projects from conception to completion.
* Combined Shell & Core and Fit-Out experience is preferred.
* Demonstrates an in-depth knowledge of the construction industry and project execution.
* Computer literate and familiar with MS office, project, (or similar scheduling package)
* Experience working with Common Data Environment (CDE) such as Procore is desirable.
* Ability to develop and maintain client relationships.
* Keen eye for finishes and a proven track record of delivering projects on time.
* Must be a good communicator, both verbally and in writing.
* Self-starter with good judgment when working under pressure.
* Good manager with the ability to motivate and drive the workforce.
* Commercially conscious individual who demonstrates market and competitor awareness.

The Project Engineer is responsible for overseeing project delivery, ensuring that site works are completed on time, within budget, and to required quality standards. This role involves managing subcontractors, liaising with the supply chain, and supporting the Project Manager to ensure successful project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Coordination:
* Review and analyze contract documents, project plans, specifications, and provide necessary comments.
* Coordinate with departments, Project Engineers/Managers, and other stakeholders to ensure project milestones and deadlines are met.
* Assist in scheduling and conducting project and proposal review meetings, focusing on contract terms, cost, scope, and timelines.
* Report on project status, including potential variations, issues, and solutions to the Project Manager.
* Communicate effectively with customers and stakeholders to ensure project progress and resolve any issues.
Project Management Support:
* Ensure compliance with company procedures, safety, quality, and environmental standards throughout the project lifecycle.
* Monitor contract variations, reporting any changes to scope, cost, and delivery to the Project Manager.
* Prepare progress reports and updates for client meetings, maintaining accurate documentation.
* Manage project budgets, monitoring costs and forecasting delivery.
* Support warranty management and mitigate warranty claims.

Qualifications & Experience:
* Proven experience in engineering or project management, particularly within construction or infrastructure projects.
* Familiarity with NEC contract conditions .
* CSR Gold Card and First Aid at Work certification.
Skills & Abilities:
* Strong communication skills, capable of interacting with technical, commercial, and client stakeholders.
* Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Project, and ERP systems.
* Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to handle complex situations.
* Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and compliance.

The Role
A Site Manager is required by our Omexom Business Unit to play a key part of our organisational success, ensuring commitments to our customers are delivered on time and to the highest standard.

Reporting to the Construction Manager, duties will include, but are not limited to:
* Manage the day to day work program for nominated site staff.

* Supervise and assist with construction, maintenance, fitting of OHL plant and equipment to ensure works are delivered to a high-quality standard.

Essential Skills and Competencies

This role will be based from our Scotland sites, predominantly Kintore substation. A competitive salary and benefits package will apply. Supervisors will have a minimum of 4-year experience working on DNO Substation sites operating from 132 – 400kV and will complete the Omexom Supervisor’s course.
