Job Description
Salary: £45,000 - £50,000Location: Derby (with travel across Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire)Contract: Temporary (potential to become permanent)Start Date: ASAPHours: 37 hours per week (flexible working; office-based approx. 2 days per week)I am looking for an experienced Estates & Facilities Manager to oversee the management, maintenance and compliance of a multi-site educational estate.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage estates & facilities operations, including maintenance programmes and capital works
* Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety legislation and statutory requirements
* Oversee asset management planning, budgeting, and resource allocation
* Manage contractors, projects and service delivery across multiple sites
* Lead and develop a small team, promoting high standards and safe working practices
* Deliver estates improvement projects (e.g. building services, boiler replacements, refurbishment works)
* Monitor performance, identify risks, and implement effective solutions
Essential Requirements
* Strong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and legal compliance
* Proven experience leading and managing teams
* Experience managing estates, facilities or property portfolios
* Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle (regular travel required)
* Ability to manage budgets, contractors and multiple projects
Desirable
* Project management experience within building services or maintenance environments
* Experience working across multi-site operations
