Overview
St Modwen's Catholic Primary School is seeking a 25 hours per week, term-time only Learning Mentor/Pastoral Support Officer (Grade 5) for immediate start. This is a fixed-term contract from as soon as possible until initially 31.03.2027.

* experience of mentoring, supporting and counselling children/families
* high expectations of all children
* proven experience in identifying barriers to learning and planning effective strategies to manage them
* the ability to enthuse and inspire children
* proven experience of working with families to engage/liaise a range of Early Help services to improve family outcomes
* an absolute passion for education, health and children’s mental health and well-being
* excellent skills and reflective practice
* a passion and commitment to improving outcomes for all children who is willing to go the extra mile for our children and families
Responsibilities
Your duties will include pastoral and behavioural support in class and on a one-to-one basis, being a member of the safeguarding team, providing nurture groups, and working in collaboration with parents and local service providers to engage/signpost to Early Help services.
