Assistant HR Officer (Systems & Reporting) – Devon & Somerset Fire and Rescue Service
Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service are seeking an Assistant HR Officer (Systems and Reporting) to join our People Services team at our Service Headquarters in Exeter. This is a full-time position (37 hours per week) on a 12-month fixed-term contract, offering a competitive salary of £28,624.00 – £31,067.00 (gross) per annum.
Key responsibilities:
1. Maintain and update the HR system (iTrent), including post details, organisational structure, and managing annual leave enquiries and adjustments.
2. Manage and monitor the iTrent inbox, triaging queries and providing responses where appropriate.
3. Signpost available training, provide system user training, and act as the first point of contact for user queries.
4. Ensure the security and maintenance of the HR database, including creating user accounts and managing access permissions in accordance with GDPR.
5. Collaborate effectively with colleagues across HR and other departments, as well as external agencies and third-party contacts.
6. Create and produce people metrics reports, ensuring data accuracy and presenting it in a user-friendly format, including the use of lookups, pivots, slicers, and graphs.
7. Participate in projects related to HR system development and transformation.
8. Assist with ad-hoc data reporting requirements, such as Subject Access Requests, FOIs, and organizational data returns (including ONS and HMI).
9. Support departmental goals and objectives, engage in continuous professional development, and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
As our Assistant HR Officer (Systems and Reporting), you will support the administration of the HR database (iTrent), handle system queries via the mailbox, and assist with People Systems Reporting.
