Our Creative Learning and Engagement work is driven by a commitment to social justice, whether empowering teachers in the classroom or inspiring young people to develop their own creative agency. The work we do in classrooms and communities re-imagines the way that young people engage with Shakespeare's plays and improves both life and learning outcomes. This role is central in championing youth voice across the organisation and is integral to ensuring young people's ideas, leadership and creative agency sit at the heart of what we do.

Reporting to the Senior Manager Youth Talent Development, key areas of responsibility include (please see the Role Profile for the comprehensive list):

* Managing creative projects from concept to delivery, including timelines, budgets and cross‑departmental coordination
* Building strong partnerships across the RSC.
* Facilitating young people's engagement with the First Encounters with Shakespeare touring programme.
* Ensuring the highest standards of safeguarding, administration and communication across youth talent and leadership programmes.

To be suitable for this role, it is essential that you have the following knowledge and experience:

* Skills in developing youth voice and co‑creation methodologies, enabling young people to shape their own creative work.
* Project management experience, including scheduling, budget management and delivery oversight.
* Strong facilitation skills and confidence leading inclusive sessions with diverse groups of young people.
* A strong commitment to access, inclusion and removing barriers to participation in the creative industries.
* A practical understanding of theatre making and creative processes.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience of professional correspondence and inbox management.
* A track record of upholding high safeguarding standards for children, young people and adults at risk.

The RSC is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. Please note that all employees of the Creative Learning and Engagement team are required to undergo enhanced checks with the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). No offer of employment will be made until references have been checked.

This is a full‑time, permanent position based in Stratford‑upon‑Avon, with some flexibility for hybrid working.

You will be working 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday although occasional evening and weekend work will be required, particularly to support residential activity. The role sits within the Creative Learning and Engagement department and works closely with the RSC Board, artistic, production and teams across the organisation.
