About The Role
What will you be doing?
1. Provide technical services to a range of construction related disciplines, including invaluable support to their divisional teams and departments within design and construction phases of projects
2. Suitable for an existing Survey Manager looking to progress their career and lead business growth
3. Supporting the Project and Site Managers with CAD technical expertise
4. Managing and developing a small CAD team in the creation of different types of drawings for a variety of civil and infrastructure projects
5. Provide MGroup and its clients with high-standard CAD drawings, models, documents, and work reports
6. Ensure workflow runs smoothly and that standard CAD processes are followed by the CAD team
7. Review outputs for quality-controlled documentation, track performance, and manage CAD software
About You
What you’ll bring:
8. Excellent attention to detail
9. Degree/HND in Civil Engineering or equivalent
10. Expert knowledge of Survey Disciplines, including PAS128 (Utility Detection)
11. Ability and willingness to work flexibly (shift / away from base location)
12. Exceptional contract awareness and understanding of standard forms of contract such as NEC 3 or 4, ICE, JCT
13. Good grasp of commercial responsibilities
14. High standard of presentation skills
15. Good knowledge and understanding of CAD practices
16. Good Site setting out skills
17. Ability to interpret scopes, technical information and drawings
18. Ability to manage work efficiently between multiple projects
19. Good communications skills and ability to work well with other teams and departments at all levels both internally and externally, including client liaison
20. Excellent data management and Quality Control
21. Prepare survey reports containing information, conclusions and recommendations
22. Contribute to the enhancement of the quality of delivered products by identifying and introducing improvement opportunities
23. Train, support, mentor and guide survey teams
24. Share knowledge and coach other team members to support improvements in team’s performance
25. Keep up to date with legislations and current industry trends
26. Desire for self-development and continuous self-improvement
27. Full UK driving license
28. 5yr Traceable employment
Desirable:
29. Previous experience in a management role
30. Experience working within the utilities, engineering and aviation sector
31. Level 5 or above QCF Certificate in Utility Mapping and Surveying
32. Experience of using GPR scanners, GPS and RD series equipment
33. SMSTS or equivalent Site Management Training
34. Knowledge of N4CE survey software
35. Holder of CSCS accreditation
36. Basic knowledge of BIM practices
37. Experience working within the utilities, engineering and aviation sector
