Essential Job Responsibilities:
* Food Preparation:
* Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, including appetizers, entrees, and desserts.
* Follow established recipes and guidelines to maintain consistency.
* Ensure that all food items meet quality standards.
* Workflow Management:
* Oversee the cooking process from start to finish.
* Coordinate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow.
* Prioritise tasks to meet customer demands during peak hours.
* Timely Service:
* Work closely with Servers to ensure prompt delivery of meals to customers.
* Monitor cooking times and adjust as needed to avoid delays.
* Maintain a sense of urgency during busy periods.
* Quality Control:
* Inspect food items for taste, presentation, and temperature.
* Address any discrepancies promptly.
* Uphold high standards of food quality and safety.
* Cleanliness and Hygiene:
* Keep workstations clean and organized.
* Adhere to food safety guidelines and sanitation practices.
* Regularly clean kitchen equipment and utensils.
* Flexibility:
* Be available to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and varied shifts.
* Adapt to changing demands and adjust cooking techniques accordingly.
