Role Overview
Developer in the Process Excellence & Automation team delivering process improvements and automations across business functions of IWG. The role requires an experienced Automation Developer with a solid background in RPA, exposed to the entire automation delivery lifecycle: analysis, design, development, testing and deployment. Senior resources also conduct peer‑reviews, quality checks, and mentor less senior team members.
What You’ll Need To Succeed
Engage after the analysis phase is complete, while contributing feedback in earlier stages. A successful Senior Developer has deep solution design and development expertise, a strong testing mindset, experience in the solution deployment lifecycle and basic knowledge of Blue Prism infrastructure.
Role and Responsibilities
* Optimization – adopt a continuous improvement mindset to all business processes, improve and automate while ensuring proper change‑control protocols.
* Impact Analysis – understand how changes, new or updated processes and automations will impact the business operations and customers.
* Solution Design – work closely with Business Analysts and stakeholders to deeply understand the current state and design the most efficient and optimal “to‑be” solution.
* Solution Development – build solutions following standard internal principles, conventions, and best practice, using RPA and other workflow platforms.
* Testing – author detailed business & technical testing scenarios and run System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
* Deployment – prepare Hypercare and deployment plans, including scheduling, infrastructure requirements, release management and reporting.
* Production Support – work with the Development team to triage production incidents and assist in their resolution.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related IT discipline, or equivalent experience.
* Deep subject matter expertise in RPA (specifically Blue Prism) and BPM workflows – expert level implementation knowledge.
* Consulting background and proven client‑facing experience is a plus.
* 2+ years working with the Blue Prism platform in advanced automation concepts, holding the Professional Accreditation.
* Solid understanding of the Blue Prism platform architecture (components, connections, etc.).
* 2+ years of experience in system configuration/development and design‑focused software development (e.g., C#, C++, Java).
* Strong understanding and proven experience in RESTful APIs and web services.
* A track record in training and mentoring individuals on development and delivery disciplines.
* Excellent understanding of workflow‑based logic and the ability to interpret business processes from workflow diagrams.
* Strong analytical, problem‑solving and synthesizing skills.
* Confident communicator able to explain technology to non‑technical audiences.
* Detail‑ and quality‑oriented professional.
