About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Site Manager to join our growing team, overseeing construction projects across the Manchester area. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in general construction and a track record of delivering public building projects (such as schools, community centres, healthcare facilities) on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day site operations to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality project delivery.
Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and consultants to maintain effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
Monitor and control budgets, schedules, and resources.
Ensure all work complies with relevant health & safety regulations and company policies.
Supervise and coordinate trades and labour on-site.
Conduct site inspections, progress reports, and risk assessments.
Lead and motivate the site team to meet performance and quality standards.
Essential Requirements:
Proven experience as a Site Manager in general construction and public sector projects.
SMSTS, CSCS (Black Card preferred), and First Aid certification.
Excellent knowledge of building methods, materials, and health & safety regulations.
Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
Ability to lead and manage multi-disciplinary teams.
Full UK driving licence.
Desirable:
Experience with frameworks or working on projects for local authorities.
NVQ Level 6 or higher in Construction Site Management or equivalent.
