Are you an experienced Cook looking for a new challenge? Join us as our new Cook at Leger Grovecare home inDoncaster.
In this role, you’ll cook delicious, healthy and nutritious meals for the people we support.
You’ll ensure that everyone has a positive dining experience, to increase nutritional intake, promote social interaction andbuild a sense of community.

About Exemplar Health Care
Leger Grove is part of Exemplar Health Care, one of the country’s leading nursing care providers.
When open, Leger Grove will support adults living with acquired brain injuries, complex mental health needs, dementia and physical disabilities.
Although the home is set to open in April 2025, you’ll begin a tailored induction one month prior.
This will give you the opportunity to learn about the company, meet your colleagues and complete your training, so you're fully prepared when the home officially opens.
In the meantime, we'll stay in touch via email or WhatsApp, sharing regular updates on the progress of your new workplace.

About the role
Our Cooks make delicious and nourishing meals for people with a range of dietary requirements.
No two days will ever be the same, but your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
preparing, cooking and serving food
understanding people’s needs, likes and choices to develop suitable menus
interacting with the people we support to get feedback on meals
complying with food hygiene standards
completing relevant checksand maintaining records
being a great team player, working as part of the wider Catering Team.
If you haven’t worked in the care sector before, we’ll help you feel right at home from the start with our induction, buddy, and ongoing training programmes.
Above all, you’re someone who identifies with our values of fun, integrity, responsiveness, success and teamwork.
You’re also:
a cook with a flair for creating delicious and nutritious meals for varied dietary requirements
creative in menu development and food preparation
an excellent team player
adaptable and flexible
someone with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
We like our Cooks to have a food hygiene certificate and a relevant catering qualification, but these aren’t necessary.

It's down the road from Doncaster Royal Infirmary.
There are limited parking spaces in the home's car park. Street parking is available on Armthorpe Road.

The home's a short walk from several bus stops.
Armthorpe Road/Danesthorpe Close bus stop, which is accessed by busses 81 and 82.
Armthorpe Road/Wellcroft Close bus stop,which is accessed by busses 81, 82, and 482.
Westminster Crescent/Dorset Crescent bus stop, which is accessed by bus 466.
Furnhurst Road/Silver Jubilee Close bus stop, which is accessed by bus 65.
There's also a train station in the local area.
Doncaster - 3.7 miles away (12minute drive or one hour walk).
