Food Technologist (Part-Time) Hours: 20 hours per week (2-3 days) Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 pro rata (£16.83 - £19.23 per hour) DOE Office Location: Reigate Remote/Hybrid working available An exciting opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented Food Technologist to join a dynamic and collaborative team within a well-established food business. This part-time position is perfect for someone with relevant experience who is looking to further develop their career in food safety, technical compliance, and quality assurance. Key Responsibilities: * Support compliance and audit readiness for annual BRC accreditation * Maintain and update the HACCP plan (HACCP qualification desirable) * Conduct internal audits, risk assessments, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives * Manage food safety and technical documentation, including non-conformance follow-up, supplier approvals, and NPD records * Collaborate with suppliers to ensure technical compliance and support occasional site visits * Manage customer requirements and participate in audits (some international travel may be required) * Maintain internal systems and web-based platforms for reporting and documentation * Oversee the customer complaints process Requirements: * A degree (or equivalent) in Food Science or a related discipline * Solid understanding of BRC standards, food safety, quality management, and food processing * Proactive and detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills * Able to work both independently and as part of a team * Strong communication and organisational skills This is a fantastic role for someone who enjoys variety, responsibility, and being part of a supportive environment.
