Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a kitchen assistant/cook.This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in food preparation and cooking who is eager to contribute to our kitchen operations. The Culinary Associate will play a vital role in ensuring that all meals are prepared to the highest standards of quality and safety, while also supporting the overall efficiency of the kitchen.
Responsibilities
* Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards
* Assist in meal preparation, ensuring all ingredients are prepped and ready for service
* Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene throughout the kitchen
* Collaborate with the kitchen Manager to ensure timely service and quality control
* Participate in cleaning and maintaining kitchen equipment and work areas
* Support the team in managing inventory and ordering supplies as needed
* Serve meals to customers with attention to presentation and detail
Qualifications
* Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar culinary role
* Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations
* Previous experience in a restaurant or commercial kitchen environment is preferred
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards
* Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
