OakRay Care is a family run business on the Isle of Wight and the New Forest, specialising in the provision of residential care for the elderly. We currently operate four care homes; three on the Isle of Wight and one in Fordingbridge, New Forest. We have an exciting opportunity for a Cook to join our friendly, supportive team at our Ryde care home. Fairhaven Care Home provides high quality residential and dementia care services for up to 21 elderly residents, and has a CQC rating of Good. We are looking for a knowledgeable and passionate Cook, who can prepare and serve healthy, traditional home cooked food for our residents. Can you make a tasty Shepherd's pie? A thorough understanding of food safety is crucial, and you should be able to complete the appropriate catering paperwork, and have up to date food hygiene qualifications. Previous experience working as a Cook within an elderly care home environment is desirable. A competitive salary is offered, which will be discussed at the interview. This is a part-time position of 24 hours a week, 7am - 3pm, and covering every other weekend. Hours would be flexible to fit in with the needs of the home.
