New Build Sales Executive Role Overview As a New Build Sales Executive, you will be responsible for driving sales growth within the new build housing and commercial development sectors. You'll work closely with developers, housebuilders, architects, and main contractors to promote and sell a full range of window and door products. This hybrid role combines external business development with internal project coordination, ensuring a professional and proactive service from first enquiry through to order handover. Key Responsibilities Business Development & Account Management * Develop and maintain strong relationships with national and regional housebuilders, developers, and architects within the new build and commercial sectors. * Identify and target new business opportunities to expand market presence within the new build sector. * Follow up on sales leads and project enquiries from both internal sources and industry networks. * Manage a portfolio of active clients, ensuring excellent levels of service, communication, and retention. * Attend site meetings, client visits, and industry events to build and strengthen long-term partnerships. Project Sales & Quotation Management * Work closely with Internal Sales, Project Management, and Estimating teams to prepare accurate and competitive quotations. * Interpret architectural drawings, schedules, and specifications to ensure proposals meet design and compliance requirements. * Present proposals and product solutions to clients, demonstrating technical understanding and commercial awareness. * Negotiate pricing, terms, and contract details to secure profitable business. * Ensure all quotations and tenders are tracked through CRM, with timely follow-ups and progress reporting. Collaboration & Communication * Collaborate with internal teams (Order Processing, Technical, Production, and Installation) to ensure projects run smoothly from order to completion. * Provide accurate sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and project updates to management. * Maintain strong communication between external stakeholders and internal departments. * Contribute to sales meetings, planning sessions, and strategy discussions to align with company objectives. Customer Experience * Act as a trusted advisor, providing professional support, technical guidance, and solutions to meet client needs. * Maintain a high level of product and industry knowledge to support confident client interactions. * Proactively manage customer expectations throughout each project lifecycle. Skills & Competencies * Strong sales and relationship management skills within the construction or fenestration industry. * Excellent communication and presentation abilities, both written and verbal. * Commercially driven, with strong negotiation and closing skills. * Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. * Highly organised, able to manage multiple live projects and priorities simultaneously. * Confident using CRM systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). * Self-motivated, disciplined, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team. * A proactive problem-solver who takes ownership of tasks and delivers results. Experience & Qualifications * Minimum 3 years' experience in B2B sales within the fenestration, construction, or building materials sector. * Demonstrable success in selling to housebuilders, developers, or commercial contractors. * Knowledge of window and door systems, glazing options, and compliance requirements (essential). * Experience working with estimating software such as Business Micros Evolution or similar (advantageous). * Full UK driving licence (essential). Hybrid Working Details * Hybrid role with a balance of: o Field-based activity - client meetings, site visits, and business development (approx. 2-3 days per week). o Office / remote-based work - quotations, CRM updates, reporting, and project coordination (approx. 2-3 days per week). * Flexibility required, including travel to client sites and occasional overnight stays.
