Full Job Description
CEN Resources are working in partnership with a well-known business that is currently looking for an experienced Senior Quality Manager for operations based in the North West of England. Our client is an Engineering and Projects Delivery business specializing in the design, installation, management, and consultancy of bulk material handling systems across various sectors, with specific expertise in tunnelling, aggregates, and ports.
Reporting to the Group Projects Director, the Senior Quality Manager ensures all operational departments adhere to company systems, policies, and procedures, and that the business remains compliant with accredited ISO standards and other industry-relevant accreditations on an ongoing basis.
Applicants must have experience of EPC projects within an onshore engineering industry.
The role includes:
1. Providing input and support of proposals during the bid and pre-contract stages.
2. Reviewing quality/process requirements pre-contract to ensure specific quality-related deliverables.
3. Supporting the development of existing and the introduction of new suppliers through auditing, accurately recording and reporting NCRs, tracking total cost of quality, and continuous improvement activities.
4. Collaborating with and supporting Project Managers with project kick-off meetings and ongoing project progress meetings, either internal or external.
5. Owning and managing the Quality Management System.
6. Managing and maintaining the business-level risk register.
7. Developing quality assurance plans throughout the project lifecycle.
8. Reviewing contractors' and suppliers' Quality Plans and related documentation to ensure quality requirements are managed through the supply chain.
9. Managing and leading quality-related incident investigations, policies, processes, or project-related issues.
10. Developing a Quality Status Report at project and business levels, issued monthly.
11. Collaborating with the Project Manager to log and respond to all quality-related issues and actions promptly.
Requirements include:
* An experienced Quality Professional within a project-based construction environment, including CDM.
* HNC/HND qualification in a quality, technical, or engineering discipline.
* Demonstrable experience managing internal quality systems for medium to large organizations with cloud-based systems.
* Strong IT skills (full MS Office Suite).
