The Role
The Hospice is seeking a dedicated and experienced HR Administrator to join their Human Resources Team. The HR Administrator will support the HR team in delivering comprehensive HR services to the organisation. This role requires a proactive, organised individual with excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to HR best practices.
Key Responsibilities
HR Administration
* Maintain accurate HR records, including employee files and contracts.
* Assist with HR administrative tasks, such as processing paperwork, updating employee information, and producing reports.
Recruitment and Selection
* Support line managers with recruitment, including drafting job descriptions, advertising, screening applications, scheduling interviews, and conducting reference checks.
* Coordinate onboarding and orientation for new employees.
Employee Relations
* Provide guidance on HR policies, procedures, and employment legislation.
* Assist with managing employee relations issues, grievances, and disciplinary matters.
Performance Management
* Support performance management processes, including improvement plans.
* Monitor and provide feedback on employee performance.
Policy and Procedure Compliance
* Ensure compliance with HR policies and legal requirements.
* Contribute to policy review and development.
* Keep employment policies up to date with legislation.
Skills and Qualifications
* Experience in a busy administrative role.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
* Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR information systems.
* Ability to work collaboratively with staff, volunteers, and external partners.
* A full UK driving licence.
