Join Our Team as an HR Assistant at Avidity Science! Are you passionate about human resources and eager to contribute to a dynamic and progressive company? Avidity Science is looking for a dedicated HR Assistant to join our busy EMEA team. This is a unique opportunity to join our team as the first team member in addition to our existing Head of HR.
To be successful, you will need demonstrable experience in a similar role, supporting a range of HR activities, including recruitment, maintaining robust employee records, onboarding, handling initial employee and manager queries and ideally payroll. In exchange, you'll have the opportunity to get involved with a variety of activities, get exposure to French, German and Slovakian employment legislation and have the chance to work on global employee projects.
Competitive Salary: £26,000 to £28,000 depending on experience, plus a bonus opportunity.

As an HR Assistant, you will:
Support all internal and external HR-related inquiries or requests.
Maintain employee records and databases.
Support the recruitment process, including advertising positions, candidate screening, and scheduling interviews.
Aid managers in handling employee relations issues including grievances and disciplinaries.
Assist in the creation and improvement of HR policies and procedures.
Support employee engagement and social/wellbeing initiatives.
Contribute to company communications and coordination of the company vehicle fleet.
Support other regional and global HR projects and initiatives.
We are a lean team and we will occasionally get involved in non-HR activities.
CIPD qualifications and/or HR-related degree is an advantage but not essential.
An interest in technology to drive HR forward is advantageous.
Proficiency in French and/or German and experience in processing payroll is a distinct advantage.
