You will need at least4+ years of experiencein WordPress development, ideally working in an agency, coupled with lots of ambition.
Your primary responsibilities:
* Collaborate with designers and project managers to ensure the timely and accurate implementation of website features and functionalities.
* Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code, adhering to best practices and industry standards.
* Optimise websites for speed, performance, and search engine optimisation (SEO).
* Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends in web development, proposing innovative solutions to enhance our projects.
* Participate in team meetings and discussions, providing technical insights and contributing to project planning and strategy.
* Assist in quality assurance testing and user acceptance testing to identify and address any bugs or issues before deployment.
* Maintain and update existing websites, implementing new features and enhancements as required.
Required Skills/Experience:
* 4+ years of experience, ideally in an agency environment
* Experience developing and delivering custom WordPress themes
* Not using off-the-shelf themes, child themes, page builders like Elementor, Divi or other such plugins
* Good understanding of custom post types, taxonomies, hooks, actions, filters, and general WordPress architecture
* ACF Pro
* WooCommerce
* PHP (Experience with Laravel is advantageous)
* Node/NPM
* MySQL and database experience
* Github / Version control experience
* Understanding of JSON / REST API’s
* A working knowledge of the Adobe Suite/Figma
* Excellent problem-solving skills
* A passion for all things web development related!
