SHEQ Manager with 5-10 Years of experience working with Switchgear, Electronics or Electrical Components manufacturing (good to have - Railway exposure) will be responsible for all day-to-day compliance matters, allowing for the strategic development and progression of the business
Quality:
* Fully responsible for the Quality Management System, including:
* Key point of contact for all quality issues.
* Full responsibility for finished product inspection and testing, ensuring full compliance with company and customer expectations.
* Ensure that quality standards and requirements are being maintained.
* Take the lead for regular focused Quality Meetings.
* Take the lead and manage PPAPs as required.
* Take the lead and manage calibration as required.
* Take the lead, plan, manage and support audits:
* Regular internal audits.
* Regular supplier audits.
* Represent the company during customer quality audits.
* Represent the company during supplier quality audits.
* Represent the company during ISO9001, RISQS, Achilles audits and the like, and ensure full compliance with all requirements.
* Initiate or raise NCRs or G8Ds for all quality failures, or where appropriate.
* Take full responsibility for raising and managing any potential quality concessions, where appropriate.
* Ensure that customer quality documents/questionnaires, are correctly completed and submitted.
* Take the lead in terms of the analysis and any resultant improvement plans required from Customer Feedback Questionnaires.
* Responsible for developing, maintaining and progressing quality improvement projects and processes.
Health, Safety & Environment
* Work towards the Company gaining accreditation and approval in terms of ISO 14001 (Environmental) and ISO45001 (Occupational Health & Safety Management)
* Ensure effective day to day implementation and active management of the Companies Health and Safety Policies.
* Ensure that accidents, incidents and hazards are recorded and reported and investigated in accordance with company policy and that appropriate corrective action is taken.
* Ensure that the Senior Management Team is advised of any and all relevant changes in Health, Safety and Environmental legislation, codes of practice and industry standards.
* Review Client and Company Standards as necessary to assure such compliance.
* Ensure that regular meetings are held where issues can be discussed, progress made against objectives and plans monitored and actions decided.
* Encourage staff to report hazards, Near Misses and raise health and safety concerns and that they are thoroughly investigated and, where necessary, further effective controls are implemented and communicated to staff.
* Take full responsibility for managing COSHH within the company and take any remedial steps to mitigate risks.
* Carry out Health, Safety and Environment Risk Assessments, and introduce steps to reduce and minimise risks.
General
* Compile and report monthly strategic imperatives (KPIs) relative to your department.
* Compile and report on Departmental targets, objectives and forecasts.
* Effectively contribute and have an input to the day-to-day management of the Business.
* Effectively contribute and have an input to the Strategic Action Plan of the Business
