The Health Safety, Sustainability and Quality Manager works closely with the Head of HSSQ and the Sisk Rail delivery teams to provide operational support for the safe delivery of Sisk Rail activities and promote a strong safety leadership culture. The role involves engaging across internal and external interfaces to deliver standards of excellence through proactive and reactive measures. The position requires executing a wide range of responsibilities and competencies to support best-in-class delivery.

Key Responsibilities
1. Deliver health, safety, sustainability, and quality technical advice, guidance, support, and assistance to internal stakeholders and our supply chain at an operational level.
2. Develop and maintain the HSSQ management system aligned with accredited standards, client requirements, and Sisk expectations.
3. Establish standards and expectations for HSSQ activities for those working on behalf of Sisk Rail, including direct and supply chain activities, aligned with legal, client, and Sisk requirements.
4. Develop and coordinate an internal assurance program with the Senior Leadership team to ensure risk-based coverage of operational and organizational activities.
5. Prepare for and facilitate external assurance and audit activities, including accreditation, client, and Sisk group assurances (e.g., RISQS, Network Rail, ISO 45001, 9001, 14001).
6. Possess practical experience in providing health and safety technical advice, guidance, and developing HSSQ management systems, preferably within the rail or construction industry.
7. Demonstrate experience in creating proactive safety cultures at operational and management levels.
8. Hold a Level 6 Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety (or equivalent, e.g., NEBOSH National Diploma, NVQ Diploma).
9. Be a Certified or Chartered Member of IOSH (or equivalent).
10. Preferable training includes Rail PTS, Accident Investigation, Lead Auditor, Temporary Works, Lifting Operations, Fire Safety, and Work at Height.
