Identifying defects and supporting the management of latent issues, advising on appropriate remedial actions.
Contributing to handover decisions, ensuring works meet required standards and handovers align with internal policy.
Feeding into the improvement of employer's requirements, design management procedures and materials/technology choices.
Managing your time across multiple projects and participating actively in internal and external forums.
Skills & experience needed
Working knowledge of quality management in construction, ideally within the UK housing sector.
Experience in one of the following roles: Quality Manager, Finishing Foreman, Site Inspector, Clerk of Works, Architect or Building Surveyor with inspection responsibilities.
Ability to inspect works from early construction through to completion, including functional and snagging inspections.
Strong understanding of Building Regulations (including Part B), building safety requirements, CDM 2015 and client expectations in design and build environments.
Ability to interpret design and fabrication drawings and interrogate specifications.
Competent using Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook, with the ability to manage photographic evidence and produce clear factual reports.
Confident working across multiple sites, managing time effectively and collaborating with varied project stakeholders.
Professional membership such as CIAT, CIOB or ICWCI is advantageous.
BTEC/HNC/HND/NVQ Level 4 (or equivalent experience) in a construction-related discipline.
Interviews are taking place shortly, so apply now to avoid missing out.
Due to the volume of applications received, if you do not hear back, please assume your application has been unsuccessful on this occasion.
If you require any adjustments or additional support during the recruitment process for any reason, please let your Cobalt consultant know.
