We are currently recruiting for a Catering Manager at a prestigious workplace site in Bristol.
Location: BS1 5LF
Rate of pay: £36,500 per annum
Working pattern: 40 hours per week, 7am - 3.30pm, Monday - Friday
About The Role:
Our QSD concept aims to bring the High Street feel into the workplace with fresh, daily meals that are nutritious, well-balanced, and suited for a fast-paced working environment. Gather & Gather also offers weekly hot counter “Pop Ups,” including dishes from our Pizza station, along with freshly baked goods and daily office hospitality menus.
As our Catering Manager, you should have a strong chef background combined with a passion and flair for front-of-house customer service. You will be hands-on, leading from the front, driving standards and customer experience. You will ensure your Head Chef and team use the freshest, seasonal ingredients to create daily menus. You will oversee coffee extraction, baked goods presentation, and retail displays, ensuring they meet high standards, always keeping customers at the center of our efforts. Strong coaching skills are essential to support team development. Building solid client and customer relationships will support business growth. You will also oversee financials to meet business targets and budgets.
Key responsibilities:
Food and Service Development
* Ensure client expectations of food and service are consistently met and aligned with the CH&CO brand.
* Set clear standards for food and service to ensure high-quality delivery.
* Regularly review service and food quality, providing feedback and implementing improvements.
Relationship Management
* Act as the primary contact for client comments and concerns, taking appropriate action.
* Gather and utilize customer feedback to enhance offerings.
Finance
* Achieve financial targets in line with the client agreement and budget.
* Identify and implement strategies to address shortfalls.
* Maximize income through effective purchasing, marketing, and waste control.
Managing/Developing a Team
* Conduct performance management and appraisals for Front of House staff and the Head Chef.
* Ensure proper induction, skills training, and on-the-job training are provided.
* Identify training needs from performance reviews and coordinate with relevant parties to meet these needs.
Health & Safety
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of COSHH and HACCP procedures.
