Our eCommerce websites and apps have grown to become one of the largest online retail platforms in the UK, serving 70 international markets with 6 million active customers and multiple delivery methods and payment types.
Our “Total Platform” brings our experience and expertise in eCommerce to the wider market, offering our software as a service to clients who wish to use our infrastructure, including warehouse, distribution, and call centre capabilities. We have onboarded clients such as Victoria’s Secret and Reiss in the last five years. The Total Platform team is responsible for onboarding clients onto our platform, including setting up a client-branded eCommerce website and supporting migrations from their existing platforms. The goal is a quick, pain-free onboarding process that delivers a performant, high-quality eCommerce solution to ensure the best experience for clients and customers, while continuously improving scalability and optimizations to reduce delivery times.
About the Role:
You’ll work within our Total Platform team across several complex codebases as part of a cross-functional effort to onboard new clients, including both legacy monolithic codebases and modern cloud-based architectures. The role requires pace, expertise, and a can-do attitude, with imaginative problem-solving to meet hard deadlines. You will collaborate with necessary departments from concept to delivery and beyond, delivering high-impact, performant, and high-visibility features. You’ll provide development support to internal users, including out-of-hours coverage, and share your expertise to help us improve. You’ll also mentor and guide the team to ensure alignment with the company strategy and maintain technical quality.
About you:
* Proficient in Microsoft-based technologies such as ASP.NET MVC, WCF Services, Web API and Azure
* Experience in SQL Server
* Familiar with TypeScript and common JavaScript frameworks such as Angular and React
* Knowledge of Observability, automation and DevOps concepts
* Defensively code, inject dependencies and understand the importance of unit testing
* A team player who can thrive in a fast-paced, busy retail environment
* Ability to present technical information in a structured and logical manner
