Job DescriptionSite Manager – Power Generation Construction ProjectsLocationUK based power generation construction project sitesReports toNPS Project Manager and VP ProjectsPurpose of RoleTo manage the safe and efficient delivery of power generation construction projects on-site, ensuring compliance with UK construction regulations, health and safety standards, and environmental requirements. The role involves coordinating NPS management team, direct labour (mechanical and electrical), specialist contractors, managing complex plant installations, and ensuring timely delivery.A key attribute of this position will be the interest and willingness to implement advanced project management tools on the project. Key ResponsibilitiesFull HSE and Quality responsibility for the NPS scope of work.Delivery NPS contract deliverables to customer satisfaction.Maintain a positive work culture at all times, focussed on best-in-class services.A detailed understanding of the NPS Scope of Work and contract requirements.Lead Client Management interface at site level to ensure consistently favourable outcomes.Work with the Project Manager to develop all necessary project execution plans and procedures.Responsible with Project Manager for hiring of all resources required for the project, with assistance of Head Office recruitment team.Oversee the installation of large technical mechanical equipment including turbines, generators, HRSGs, and associated infrastructure.Ensure compliance with CDM Regulations and environmental permits.Coordinate specialist subcontractors (electrical, mechanical, insulation, instrumentation).Chair technical and progress meetings with multi-disciplinary teams. Follow up on actions and driving of schedule deliverables.Support project controls with progress reporting and cost tracking.Issue the Project Daily, Weekly and Monthly Project Execution Reports as required, including forecasts.Ensure time sheets are signed as requiredSkills & QualificationsEssential:Experience managing power generation construction sites in the UKSMSTS or NEBOSH certification; CSCS card.Familiarity with CDM Regulations and energy sector compliance.Familiarity with managing UK workforceFamiliarity with working on NAECI / Bluebook sites and dealing with Labour UnionsHigh level of computer literacy and capability to Desirable:Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management.Personal AttributesStrong leadership and communication skills.Ability to manage complex technical interfaces.Proactive approach to problem-solving and risk management.
