JOB – Technical Sales Executive
LOCATION – Biggleswade
TERM – Permanent
SALARY – £30,000 to £40,000 + Bonus + Benefits
A growing engineering and manufacturing business is seeking a Technical Sales Executive to support both new business development and account management activity. This role is ideal for someone with a strong technical mindset who enjoys working with customers, understanding their requirements, and providing informed product solutions.
The Technical Sales Executive will ideally have the following attributes:
• Experience in technical sales, customer support, or an engineering-related role
• Understanding of mechanical, electrical, or industrial products
• Ability to interpret technical information and communicate it clearly
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills
• Proactive approach to lead generation and account development
• Comfortable managing multiple projects and customer interactions
• Good organisational skills and familiarity with CRM systems
• A technical qualification (mechanical, electrical, manufacturing, etc.) is desirable but not essential
The Technical Sales Executive role will involve:
• Managing and developing a portfolio of existing customer accounts
• Identifying new business opportunities and generating leads
• Providing technical advice and product support to customers
• Preparing quotations, proposals, and commercial documentation
• Liaising with internal engineering and production teams
• Visiting customers when required and representing the business at events
• Managing the full sales pipeline from initial enquiry to order
• Ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and repeat business
