1 Job Summary

MACK is a property management company that has the vision to be the leading force in providing a diverse range of safe, inclusive, and sustainable accommodation for all. To support our accommodation services, we also operate nationwide, delivering high quality catering and laundry services.

Our catering provision is built around delivering fresh, nutritious, and high-quality food services across a diverse range of sites. We pride ourselves on operational excellence, strong client partnerships, and a commitment to compliance and sustainability. Whether supporting accommodation, education, healthcare, or commercial environments, our catering teams are passionate about creating positive experiences that reflect our values and meet the needs of every community we serve.

We are seeking an experienced Multi-Site Catering Manager to take responsibility for overseeing catering operations across our sites, supported by a central kitchen. This role is key to ensuring our food and service standards remain consistently high, from production through to delivery at the receiving sites.

The ideal candidate will be hands-on, commercially astute, and confident managing teams across multiple locations. You'll combine strong leadership skills with a sharp eye for compliance, financial performance, and customer satisfaction.

2 Key Responsibilities:

This role involves a wide range of tasks, as outlined below:

Operational Management

* Oversee daily catering operations within the central kitchen and provide support at receiving sites to ensure product quality, consistency, and service standards are maintained.
* Drive operational excellence, ensuring all sites adhere to company policies, procedures, and brand standards.
* Monitor site performance, addressing underperformance and identifying areas for improvement.
* Support mobilisation of new sites or contracts when required.

People Leadership

* Lead, coach, and develop site chefs and catering teams to achieve their full potential.
* Manage staffing levels across sites, ensuring adequate cover, effective scheduling, and cost control.
* Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe working environment across all sites.
* Deliver ongoing training to ensure teams remain compliant and up to date with food hygiene, allergen awareness, and health & safety requirements.

Financial & Commercial Management

* Manage and monitor budgets, labour costs, and stock control across sites.
* Ensure profitability and identify opportunities to maximise revenue and minimise waste.

Compliance & Standards

* Ensure all catering services comply with Food Safety, Health & Safety, and statutory requirements.
* Conduct regular audits and inspections across sites, implementing corrective actions where needed.
* Maintain accurate documentation relating to compliance, training, and operational procedures.

Client & Customer Engagement

* Act as the main point of contact for clients across designated sites.
* Build strong relationships with stakeholders, responding promptly to queries, feedback, and complaints.
* Ensure a customer-focused approach is delivered consistently across all operations.

3 Skills and Experience:

* Proven experience managing multiple catering/foodservice sites.
* Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
* Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
* In-depth knowledge of food hygiene, allergens, and health & safety legislation.
* Strong client-facing and communication skills.
* Flexible and adaptable approach with the ability to travel across sites.

4 Qualifications:

* Level 2 or 3 Food Hygiene / Food Safety (desirable).
* Health & Safety qualification (preferred).
* Full UK driving licence.

5 Other considerations:

This is a full-time role, working 5 days out of 7 (must work alternative weekends at a minimum), with shifts scheduled between 8:00am and 8:00pm, depending on the needs of the business. Flexibility is essential, and the successful candidate must be able to manage their own workload and start times to meet operational requirements across multiple sites.
