Location: Newbury, Berkshire
Salary: £38,000 - £43,000 per annum
Hours: Full time, permanent

As part of their continued growth, they are seeking an experienced HR Manager to lead their people strategy, strengthen HR processes, and enhance employee engagement across the business.
The Role
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands‑on HR professional with experience in manufacturing or industrial settings. The HR Manager will be responsible for delivering a comprehensive HR service – from policy development and employee relations to benefits design and workforce planning.
You’ll play a key role in ensuring the business has effective HR structures in place to support a motivated and high‑performing workforce, while aligning HR strategy with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and employee handbooks that reflect best practice and legal compliance
* Provide day‑to‑day HR advice and support to managers on employee relations, performance management, and recruitment
* Review, improve, and manage employee benefits, reward, and recognition initiatives
* Oversee the full employee lifecycle – recruitment, onboarding, development, and retention
* Support training and development initiatives to upskill and engage employees
* Promote a positive company culture and ensure fair, consistent HR practices across the organisation
* Maintain accurate HR records and produce reports to support data‑driven decision‑making
* Ensure compliance with employment law, health & safety, and company policies
Skills and Experience Required
* Proven experience as a HR Manager, HR Business Partner, or Senior HR Advisor within a manufacturing or similar fast‑paced environment
* Strong understanding of UK employment law and HR best practice
* Confident in developing and implementing HR policies and employee benefits
* Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills
* CIPD Level 5 qualification (or working towards) preferred
* Proactive, organised, and able to balance operational and strategic HR responsibilities
