Health, Safety & Quality Manager Industry competitive pay Location: The position is based at our Lenwade HQ and will predominantly be an on-site role, however you will be required to undertake on site inspections of installations and periodically undertake safety audits at our premises located across England. 9am 5pm Monday Friday, 36.5 hours a week with 1 hour flex hour per week. Main Purpose of Role MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE Based at the Company Head Office Lenwade, Norfolk the post holder will be ultimately responsible for the day-to-day promotion, management and coordination of our Health and Safety (H&S) activities across all company sites and improving Quality standards within our processes. KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Support the Head of Compliance in the delivery of HSQ targets and relevant KPIs. Responsible for the continued development / improvement of Health & Safety activity and project related quality processes within the business. Ensure business compliance to statutory H&S requirements and provide H&S support and advice to the business. Conduct incident investigations utilising suitable root cause analysis methods ensuring effective corrective actions are identified and taken. Coordinate (and where appropriate deliver) H&S activity/training across the business sectors Support the senior management in managing risk and devising processes to achieve good risk management without adversely impacting company operations. Support the development of audit and improvement opportunities. Ensure that they maintain current and relevant knowledge of industry best practices in relation to relevant HSQ topics and ensure they are being implemented into the organisation. Lead / support project improvement activity (i.e. Audit findings, HSQ related performance issues) Report regularly on quality related project performance Conduct internal inspections and where necessary external audits with suppliers. Develop and manage the application / use of non-conformance process to closure Support the completion of internal & external Auditing program OTHER SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS Monitoring of HSQ performance in respect of its ability to review regularly key performance areas, and re-act accordingly to issues. Work collaboratively with Directors, Senior Management and teams in other disciplines to deliver HSQ projects. Assuring that all H&S documentation is controlled appropriately. Actively engage with on-site Quality Assurance activity, if required. Assist in Client visits/technical presentations if required. Develop self and support the development of the QA function professionally Any other duties within the scope of the post holders competency as agreed and on occasion RESPONSIBILITIES (SPECIFIC TO OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH & SAFETY) Abide by all statutory requirements including those related to Occupational Health & Safety. To be conversant with and continually develop and grow the Companys Occupational Health and Safety procedures. Be active in the application and communication of all things associated with Health & Safety. Reporting accidents, incidents, near misses, and other safety concerns and proactively implementing corrective actions. Complying to company policies and procedures. GENERAL Understand and comply with your responsibilities under the Companys policies and procedures in place from time to time, including all those relating to Occupational Health and Safety and HR. Essential Knowledge & Skill NEBOSH or IOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety, or the equivalent 5 years relevant experience in a H&S role, requiring the application and use of the above minimum qualification requirements Proven interaction and engagement with H&S regulators (i.e. HSE & local authorities) Skills in Accident Investigation and Industrial Safety Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities Strong communication and interpersonal skills Relevant certifications in health and safety management
