Location: Stoke-on-Trent | Regular Travel Required
Are you an experienced HR Manager, looking for an opportunity to join a growing company where you can make a real impact?
You’ll join a small, friendly, supportive HR team, at Clifton Trade Bathrooms, a fast-paced and trade-retail business that does things a little differently. We don’t have a corporate environment - and that’s exactly how we like it. We’re proud of our down-to-earth, award-winning culture (we’ve secured Great Places to Work certification two years in a row), and as we continue to grow, maintaining that is key.
We need someone who can bring solid HR and ER expertise while thriving in a less process-heavy, more hands-on environment.
The Role
You’ll play a key role in supporting managers across multiple sites, with a strong focus on Coaching & Developing managers to be amazing, and on Employee Relations. From handling complex ER cases to offering practical, commercially focused advice, and coaching the managers you support, you’ll be a trusted partner to the business.
This role covers branches from Liverpool through to Solihull, so you’ll need to be comfortable with regular travel and building relationships across different locations.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Champion employee engagement, wellbeing, and inclusion initiatives
* Support the development of high-performing teams and leadership capability
* Lead on Employee Relations cases (disciplinary, grievance, absence, performance, etc.)
* Provide practical, business-focused HR advice
* Support change initiatives as the business continues to grow
* Build strong relationships across multiple sites and teams
* Deliver HR projects
* Contribute to a collaborative HR team of 5, where everyone brings different strengths
What We’re Looking For
* Proven experience handling ER cases independently
* Comfortable working in a non-corporate, fast-moving environment
* A hands‑on approach
* Strong relationship‑building skills across all levels of the business
* Flexibility and willingness to travel regularly between sites
* Someone who thrives where processes are evolving rather than rigid
What you’ll get in return?
A competitive salary, a company car, life assurance x4 salary, virtual GP appointments, employee assistance programme, high street discounts, enhanced maternity, paternity and adoption leave, free breakfast every Friday!
If you’re an HR Manager who enjoys building relationships, handling real‑world challenges, enjoys variety, autonomy and the chance to shape the future, who wants to work in a business that values personality as much as process, we’d love to hear from you.
