Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated professional to prepare and present high-quality food within a food & beverage environment. The ideal candidate will adhere to all food safety procedures and processes while ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
Responsibilities
1. Maintain an in-depth knowledge of the food to be prepared, including ingredients and volumes, following the F&B Manager’s instructions.
2. Understand kitchen routines and timescales to ensure a smooth flow of service.
3. Have an in-depth knowledge of allergens, understand the separation of allergen products and utensils to ensure legal compliance.
4. Maintain and care for all utensils used, ensuring they are cleaned and stored according to set procedures.
5. Ensure all food orders are prepared effectively, minimizing customer wait times.
6. Ensure accurate rotation of all stored food, following strict batch control procedures.
7. Clean all areas before and after food preparation, adhering to documented opening and closing checks.
8. Carry out necessary 'prove it' checks, including cooking, reheating, hot holding, chilling, and chilled storage, following documented procedures.
9. Maintain high personal hygiene standards to prevent bacteria and viruses from spreading to food.
10. Support the F&B Management team in upholding kitchen rules, including access and contact with food from non-catering personnel.
11. Safeguard company stock and equipment, reporting any discrepancies to the F&B Management team, especially if stock or equipment is unfit for purpose.
12. Stay informed about key activities and events to assist customers and answer their queries effectively.
13. Take personal responsibility for health and safety of yourself and others while working at any Vectis Ventures location.
14. Promote and support The Vectis Adventure throughout the business.
