The Langford Centre is seeking an experienced Cook to join our team, working on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays to prepare nutritious meals for our service users.

The Langford Centre, based in Bexhill-on-Sea, is a mental health hospital supporting up to 73 service users across 6 wards, providing care for both men and women. This is the community you will serve as a cook.
About the role
Nutrition plays a vital role in providing quality care. As a Cook, you will cater to various dietary and cultural requirements, demonstrating a genuine interest in the wellbeing of our service users by preparing meals according to these needs.
Responsibilities
1. Preparing nutritious meals in accordance with dietary guidelines and requirements
2. Daily cleaning and maintenance of the kitchen and equipment
3. Maintaining inventory of kitchen supplies and equipment
4. Applying knowledge of HACCP and current food safety regulations
5. Engaging with service users to reflect their food preferences
6. Holding a Food Hygiene Level 2 certification
7. Previous experience in food preparation within a commercial, domestic, hospital, or care setting
8. Possessing a warm, approachable personality to engage with vulnerable adults
