Responsibilities
* Prepare and cook meals according to dietary requirements and preferences.
* Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are maintained at all times.
* Assist in menu planning to provide a variety of meal options.
* Collaborate with dietary staff to meet the nutritional needs of residents.
* Serve meals in a timely and professional manner.
* Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area.
* Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report needs for ordering.
* Participate in training sessions to enhance culinary skills.
* Qualifications
* High school diploma or equivalent; culinary training preferred.
* Proven experience in food preparation and cooking, preferably in a healthcare setting.
* Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
* Ability to work collaboratively with a team.
* Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
* Experience with menu planning is a plus.
* Previous experience in catering or fine dining is desirable.
