Data Quality Manager – Sheffield (Hybrid) – Permanent

The Opportunity
We’re working with a leading consultancy seeking an experienced Data Quality Manager to join their Data & Analytics practice. This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of enterprise data quality initiatives that enable clients to make trusted, data-driven decisions.
You’ll lead the design and implementation of data quality frameworks, standards, and monitoring solutions—helping clients build sustainable data practices that underpin major transformation programmes across regulated industries such as financial services.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the development and deployment of data quality frameworks, standards, and operating models across enterprise environments.
* Build and deliver data quality monitoring, profiling, and dashboarding capabilities to surface key insights and performance indicators.
* Work with business and technical teams to define data rules, metrics, and KPIs aligned to governance strategies.
* Integrate data quality tooling with metadata, lineage, and governance platforms to enhance visibility and traceability.
* Support efforts to define and align reference data taxonomies and consumption models across business functions.
About You
* 6+ years’ experience in data management, analytics, or governance roles, ideally within financial services.
* In-depth understanding of data quality, metadata management, and lineage frameworks.
* Hands‑on experience with enterprise data tools such as Collibra, Solidatus, Talend, or Ataccama.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, able to translate technical detail into business context.
* Proven ability to lead delivery teams across complex transformation programmes.
* Background in consulting or data leadership within financial institutions.
* Awareness of key regulatory frameworks (e.g. BCBS 239, GDPR, ESG, Consumer Duty).
* Knowledge of recognised data governance frameworks such as DAMA DMBOK, DCAM, or CDMC.
* Experience with data visualisation and analytics tools (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik).
* Track record in developing or delivering data quality training or literacy initiatives.
