Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for a New Business Developer to join our International Food Group Commercial Sales Team. Your main focus will be looking after the Middle East & some countries within Europe to identify and support new business opportunities and execute market research, identifying high potential prospects as well as focusing on recovering lost business opportunities.
Responsibilities
* Conduct market research to identify potential new customers and market segments.
* Prospect, pitch, and negotiating with new clients to secure business partnerships.
* Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of potential clients
* Build strong, long-lasting relationships with existing customers
* Continuously monitor account performance and identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling
* Develop account-specific sales plans and execute strategies to maximize revenue
* Analyse and identify reasons for lost business with existing customers.
* Develop and implement strategies to regain lost accounts
* Collaborate with the Sales team to create customized solutions that address customer needs and concerns.
* Cultivate and nurture relationships with key customers and decision-makers.
* Understand customer needs and preferences to provide tailored solutions.
* Act as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact for key accounts.
* Develop and deliver training programs for customers' sales forces on how to sell and promote Sysco Branded products effectively.
* Collaborate with marketing and product teams to create training materials and resources.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in a similar position
* Proficiency with computer and Microsoft Office
* Willing to travel internationally
* Solid analytical problem-solving skills, including familiarity with analysing reports and deriving insights from data
* Ability to express information in terms of profit and loss, food cost, and expense ratio
* Strong financial acumen and ability to properly plan and execute business plans
* Strong communication skills; ability to effectively communicate with internal and external teams
