Academy Head of Recruitment Cheltenham Town FC Academy is seeking an organised and driven Academy Head of Recruitment to lead and manage the club’s scouting and player recruitment programme. Reporting to the Academy Manager, the role is responsible for identifying and attracting talented young players, leading the Pre-Academy Talent ID programme, and coordinating a network of scouts across Gloucestershire and surrounding counties The successful candidate will oversee recruitment planning, manage player reporting and trial processes, and work closely with Academy staff to ensure recruitment aligns with the Academy’s long-term development needs. This part-time role (up to 10 hours per week) requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends and fixtures, and would suit an individual with experience in scouting and/or coaching within an Academy or elite football environment. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in strengthening Cheltenham Town FC’s Academy pathway and supporting the continued growth of a Category 3 Academy. About The Candidate The successful candidate will be a motivated, organised and proactive individual with a strong understanding of player identification and development within a football Academy environment. They will have experience in scouting and/or coaching, with the ability to lead and support a recruitment team while building effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a genuine passion for identifying young talent. They will be flexible in their approach to working hours, committed to safeguarding and player welfare, and aligned with Cheltenham Town FC’s values and long-term Academy vision. Have ICT experience of PMA/Football Intelligence Platform, excel, word and any other software as required in order to carry out the duties required for the job.
