The Sales Executive will sit within the Onboard Tracker Sales team – and play a key role in executing our ambitious growth strategy to become the world leading Crew Management platform for Energy, Renewables & Marine.
The Role
This role is focussed on driving new business opportunities, from prospecting to securing new contracts. Based in our Aberdeen office, you will be a key part of driving our global growth through new business acquisition in defined markets and territories. This is a field-based role which will involve travel across Aberdeen and wider Scotland. You may also have the opportunity to travel internationally, but this is not a requirement of the role.
Key Responsibilities will include:
* Lead generation and new business prospecting via various channels including direct outreach (LinkedIn, email, phone, networking).
* Lead & support new and existing client software demonstrations and meetings.
* Effectively communicate our value proposition to potential clients – understanding pain points and business needs and presenting solution targeted to each spec.
* Conduct in depth research and preparation for client meetings/demonstrations and prospecting.
* Work with our Sales Support Team to create engaging and targeted Proposals and Bid Responses.
* ·Attend and represent Onboard Tracker at trade fairs, shows, events and forums.
* Develop and maintain a clear pipeline, with accurate close dates and forecasting reports via our CRM system (Halo).
Please note travel is a requirement of the role, and suitable candidates will be require to hold a UK Driving Licence and have access to a car within working hours.
The ideal candidate will:
* Be a self-motivated, confident individual with both passion for and a proven track record for delivering high sales value to the organisations you work for.
* Experience in the Energy and/or Technology sectors, with strong industry relationships to leverage.
* Be organised, conscientious and prepared for upcoming sales opportunities and client interactions.
* Be passionate about the customer journey and hold high standards in your communication style.
* Be tech savvy and comfortable working with new technology, plus standard Microsoft Applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with Adobe beneficial but not mandatory.
* A proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
* Be a motivated, self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and seeks out opportunities, rather than waiting for them to arrive.
